Executive Director Jaewon Choi delivered a keynote statement at the opening of the Youth Forum on behalf of the Major Group for Children and Youth and the DMUN Foundation.
The ECOSOC Youth Forum is the largest annual gathering of young people at the United Nations. Delivering a keynote at its opening placed the Foundation's message, that young people must be treated as co-authors of policy rather than beneficiaries, before ministers and youth delegates from across the membership.
Advocacy of this kind sits at the centre of the Foundation's mandate: bringing the lived experience of children and young people into the rooms where decisions about them are made. Statements are delivered by young representatives themselves, most of them under twenty-five.
The full texts of related statements, submissions and reports are available in the documents library on the Publications page, where they can be filtered by category and year.
