Who we are

The DMUN Foundation is an international non-governmental organisation dedicated to the service and advocacy of children and youth. Founded in 2021 by Jaewon Choi, it is led by young people at every level, from its programmes to its governing bodies.

Today the Foundation counts 27,284 members across 172 countries and territories, making it one of the largest youth-led organisations in the world.

What we do

Programmes

Free, fully online simulations and educational programmes that teach diplomacy, lawmaking and policy to students everywhere.

Advocacy

Statements, delegations and bilateral meetings that carry young people's priorities into the rooms where decisions are made.

Research and funding

Youth-led research that informs policy, and direct funding that helps other youth organisations grow.

At the United Nations

The Foundation holds accreditations and observer arrangements across the United Nations system, and its representatives speak regularly in intergovernmental meetings, from the High-Level Political Forum to the UN tax convention negotiations.

Permanent offices in New York, Geneva and Vienna, with headquarters in Seoul and a liaison office in Boston, keep the Foundation present where multilateral work happens.

For partners and donors

Partnerships with intergovernmental organisations, missions and civil society let us pool access and amplify young voices. If your institution works on youth engagement, we would like to hear from you.

Donations keep every programme free. As a donor you support the participation of young people who could not otherwise afford a seat at the table.

For partnerships and giving, write to development@dmun.org.
