Jaewon Choi delivered a joint intervention with Youth for Privacy in the Stakeholder Plenary of the Open-Ended Working Group on ICT security, urging stakeholder inclusion in its future permanent mechanism.
The Open-Ended Working Group on ICT security concluded its mandate in 2025 and agreed to establish a permanent successor mechanism. The joint intervention with Youth for Privacy urged states to guarantee stakeholder participation in the new body from its first day.
Advocacy of this kind sits at the centre of the Foundation's mandate: bringing the lived experience of children and young people into the rooms where decisions about them are made. Statements are delivered by young representatives themselves, most of them under twenty-five.
