Executive Director Jaewon Choi delivered a joint statement for the Major Group for Children and Youth at the HLPF special event, alongside speakers including the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay.
The special event launched the SDG 6 country acceleration case studies, with speakers including the Prime Minister of Bhutan. The Foundation's statement called for water security to be treated as inseparable from climate, biodiversity and food policy, and for children and youth to join national delegations to the 2026 UN Water Conference.
The Foundation holds accreditations and observer arrangements across the United Nations system, which allow its representatives to take the floor in intergovernmental meetings. Interventions are prepared by the Secretariat and, where applicable, coordinated with the Major Group for Children and Youth, whose constituency the Foundation regularly represents.
