Executive Director Jaewon Choi addressed the Ministerial Opening of the High-level Segment of the Economic and Social Council, held alongside the ministerial days of the HLPF, on behalf of the Major Group for Children and Youth.
The High-Level Political Forum is the United Nations' central platform for reviewing the 2030 Agenda, and the Foundation has fielded a delegation every year since 2024. Its representatives followed the official sessions, delivered interventions and met delegations throughout the two weeks of the forum.
Advocacy of this kind sits at the centre of the Foundation's mandate: bringing the lived experience of children and young people into the rooms where decisions about them are made. Statements are delivered by young representatives themselves, most of them under twenty-five.
