Foundation representatives spoke at the launch of Tracking SDG7, an event on evidence-based approaches in drug policy and health, and a session on Timor-Leste’s model for preventing gender-based violence.
Over the forum's two weeks the delegation delivered interventions in official sessions and side events, held bilateral meetings with missions and UN offices, and hosted informal consultations on youth participation in the Ministerial Declaration.
Advocacy of this kind sits at the centre of the Foundation's mandate: bringing the lived experience of children and young people into the rooms where decisions about them are made. Statements are delivered by young representatives themselves, most of them under twenty-five.
