At the 64th session of the Commission for Social Development, Executive Director Jaewon Choi joined the high-level panel on advancing social justice through coordinated action for the Major Group for Children and Youth.
The Commission for Social Development is the UN's standing body on social policy, and its sixty-fourth session focused on social justice through coordinated action. The Foundation joined the high-level panel to argue that social protection systems must be designed with, and not merely for, young people.
The Foundation holds accreditations and observer arrangements across the United Nations system, which allow its representatives to take the floor in intergovernmental meetings. Interventions are prepared by the Secretariat and, where applicable, coordinated with the Major Group for Children and Youth, whose constituency the Foundation regularly represents.
