Pranav Sasikumar opened for the Foundation at the Social Forum of the 70th session of the Human Rights Council, followed by statements from Shakana Sheppard, OJ Senessie and Giulia Ristagno.
The Social Forum is the Human Rights Council's most open space, where states and civil society meet on equal footing. The Foundation delivered the opening statement of its delegation and three further statements over the two days, each by a different young representative.
The Foundation holds accreditations and observer arrangements across the United Nations system, which allow its representatives to take the floor in intergovernmental meetings. Interventions are prepared by the Secretariat and, where applicable, coordinated with the Major Group for Children and Youth, whose constituency the Foundation regularly represents.
