“Careers at the United Nations”: information session presented with the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia SIPA

16 October 2025

On 16 October 2025, the DMUN Foundation partnered with the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) to present “Careers at the United Nations”, a virtual information session on career pathways at the United Nations.

Recording of the virtual information session “Careers at the United Nations”, 16 October 2025.

The session offered an overview of the United Nations’ mission, structure and recruitment process, with a focus on current and upcoming openings, the skills and qualifications the Organization seeks in candidates, and strategies for navigating the application process.

Ms. Alexa Dominique Pascual, the Foundation’s Observer to United Nations Headquarters and the Bretton Woods institutions, was joined by Mr. Mahmoud Almasri, a human resources specialist at the United Nations, in addressing students and professionals interested in careers in support of peace, sustainability and global cooperation.

The Foundation thanks the Center on Global Energy Policy for the partnership, and hopes the session opens more pathways for young people into international public service.
