Addressing the UNTOC review dialogue in Vienna

13 October 2025

Tierra Monique Sydnor addressed the 2025 Constructive Dialogue of the review mechanism of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime on the smuggling of migrants.

The Constructive Dialogues are the civil-society track of the UNTOC review mechanism, convened by UNODC in Vienna. The Foundation's Vienna office spoke in the 2025 dialogues on both the smuggling of migrants and trafficking in persons, urging that prevention strategies engage young people directly.

Advocacy of this kind sits at the centre of the Foundation's mandate: bringing the lived experience of children and young people into the rooms where decisions about them are made. Statements are delivered by young representatives themselves, most of them under twenty-five.

The full texts of related statements, submissions and reports are available in the documents library on the Publications page, where they can be filtered by category and year.

This article is part of the Foundation’s public record of its engagements and programmes.
