Política de privacidad

Cómo la Fundación DMUN recopila, utiliza y protege la información personal.

Última actualización: agosto de 2026. La versión en inglés de esta política es el texto auténtico.

Quiénes somos

The DMUN Foundation is an international non-governmental organisation with its Secretariat in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and a Liaison Office in Boston, United States. This policy explains how the Foundation handles personal information collected through its websites, programmes, membership, and communications.

What we collect

  • Registration information you provide when signing up for a programme or conference, such as your name, email address, school or organisation, and country;
  • Membership information, including your membership category and participation history;
  • Contact information you provide when writing to the Foundation, applying for a position, or submitting an application for accreditation, adhesion or observer status;
  • Donation information, such as donor name, contact details and gift amount;
  • Basic technical information generated by visiting our websites, such as pages visited, used to keep the sites working and secure.

How we use it

  • To operate programmes and conferences, including registration, committee assignment and certification;
  • To administer membership, including provisional membership, voting and elections;
  • To process applications for accreditation, adhesion, observer status, funding and positions;
  • To administer donations and provide donor reporting;
  • To respond to enquiries and send communications about the Foundation’s work.

What we do not do

The Foundation does not sell personal information, does not display advertising on its websites, and does not share personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Sharing

Personal information is shared only with service providers used to operate the Foundation’s activities, such as the myMUN conference platform used for programme registration, and only to the extent needed for those activities. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Young people

Many participants in the Foundation’s programmes are minors. The Foundation collects only the information needed for participation, and parents and guardians may contact the Foundation at any time about their child’s information. Where the law of a participant’s country requires parental consent for the processing of a minor’s information, the Foundation relies on that consent.

Retention and security

Personal information is kept for as long as needed for the purposes described above, and access to it within the Secretariat is limited to those who need it for their functions.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information the Foundation holds about you, and individual members may request the removal of all of their associated data. Requests are made through Form E7 (Request Access to Personal Data) and Form E5 (Request for Removal of All Associated Data of an Individual Member), available on the Inspector-General and Ombudsman page, or by writing to enquiries@dmun.org.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated from time to time, and the current version is always published on this page. Questions about this policy can be sent to enquiries@dmun.org.
